If you are tired of cheap tonneau covers coming loose when you are driving on the Interstate and causing traffic problems, you should know you do have other options.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to get a tonneau cover that is a strong, heavy-grade vinyl cover that attaches itself to the head of the truck bed. If you have one like this, you can virtually ensure there will not be a problem later on down the road because these typically do not come loose.

There actually are some special covers that will lock themselves into place with a special latch located on the tailgate of the vehicle. These are extra useful because they help to ensure there will not be any problem with losing the cover.

It is also a good idea to find some that latch onto the side. Something as simple as Velcro can help ensure the cover will stay in place, even in windy conditions and at high speeds. And, they are useful because they are easy to store and replace. They will roll up when you need to get into the truck bed, and can just as easily be rolled back into their previous place.

So, you should forget about those old cheap tonneau covers and instead focus on making sure that you get the kind that will stand up to a little punishment.
